Living Water Landscape did a great job on the sod in my backyard. The team was professional, worked hard, and did a great job from start to finish. I'm very happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend them!
- sod installation

Treasure Coast · Palm City, FL
Properly graded, prepped, and installed sod — the right variety for your light conditions, laid on soil that gives it a chance to root.
Overview
The success of a sod install is decided before a single pallet shows up. If the subgrade is uneven, if the old lawn wasn't cleared, if there's no root bed under the sod, the lawn will struggle no matter how healthy the sod looked on the pallet. We spend most of a sod job on prep — grading, root-zone soil, and irrigation checks — because that's where the long-term result actually comes from.
On the Treasure Coast the right variety matters as much as the install. St. Augustine Floratam is the default for most sunny residential lawns and handles the climate well. Zoysia Empire is a stronger choice for high-use lawns and tolerates partial shade. Bahia is the durable, low-maintenance option for larger properties. We won't push the premium variety when a simpler one is a better fit for how you'll use the lawn.
After install, the first two to four weeks determine whether the sod roots or dries out. We set the irrigation schedule, show you what to watch for, and (if you want) handle the establishment watering under a maintenance program so it isn't on you to get it right.
What's Included
Our Process
We walk the yard, check sun exposure zone-by-zone, test grade, and confirm irrigation coverage before specifying variety.
Existing sod is removed, grade corrected, root zone amended, and the surface rolled smooth.
Fresh sod is laid tight to joints, rolled, and watered-in the same day it's delivered.
We dial in the irrigation schedule and either hand off a care plan or run establishment watering under a maintenance program.

FAQ
Depends on sun, use, and maintenance expectations. Floratam St. Augustine is the default for most sunny residential yards in our area. Zoysia Empire costs more but holds up better to foot traffic and does OK in partial shade. Bahia is the simplest, lowest-maintenance option for larger lots.
No. Sod needs direct contact with prepared soil to root. Laying new sod over existing turf creates a mat that doesn't root and typically fails within weeks. We always remove the old layer first.
A lot, briefly. The first two weeks typically need daily watering — sometimes multiple times a day during hot weather — then tapering over weeks three and four to a normal established schedule. We'll leave you a specific schedule for your property.
We stand behind our work and address installation issues promptly. If a section didn't establish under the recommended care conditions, we'll make it right. If a section failed because watering wasn't followed, we'll be straight with you about that, too.
