Skid-Steer / Bobcat Work

In-house skid-steer and compact machinery for grading, demolition, hauling, trenching, and heavy prep — the muscle behind every larger project.

Overview

What this service is, and who it's for.

Having our own skid-steer and compact machinery changes what we can realistically take on. Large landscape renovations, hardscape jobs, drainage projects, and lot clearings all need serious grading and hauling capacity. When that capacity is in-house, scheduling is tighter, we show up on time, and we don't have to pass through a rental or subcontractor markup to the owner.

The work tends to fall into a few categories: grading residential lots to correct slope and drainage, demolishing old hardscape or decaying beds, hauling material in and spoils out, trenching for drainage or utilities, and site prep ahead of sod, turf, or paver installs. Each of those is specialized work with a machine, not just "heavy equipment on a yard."

We also do stand-alone skid-steer work for homeowners who need targeted operations without a full landscape scope — one-off grading, debris cleanup after storm damage, driveway base prep, or load hauling where a wheelbarrow brigade would take days. We'll quote it straightforwardly against the machine time and operator time it actually requires.

Our Process

How a skid-steer / bobcat work project runs.

  1. 01

    Site access review

We assess access points, gates, overhead clearances, and any protected features (irrigation, pool equipment, septic) before the machine shows up.

  2. 02

    Scope & scheduling

We quote the work by machine hour, operator hour, and material load, so you know exactly what you're paying for.

  3. 03

    Execution

Our operator runs the work with ground protection where needed and keeps mess contained to the active area.

  4. 04

    Finish grade & cleanup

Final grading, driveway and lawn blown clean, and a walkthrough with you before we leave the site.

FAQ

Questions buyers actually ask.

Depends on the gate. Our compact machines fit through a 36-inch opening; larger ones need 48 inches. If access is tight we'll walk the route before quoting and tell you honestly whether machine work makes sense or whether hand work is a better call.

We minimize lawn impact with route planning and ground protection (plywood paths, turf mats) on sensitive areas. On larger grading jobs some lawn disturbance is unavoidable and gets resodded as part of the finish — we'll flag that in the scope upfront.

Yes. We handle hauling as part of larger scopes, and we also do targeted haul-offs after storm events or for homeowners who've started a project and need the spoils removed. Pricing is by load and distance to disposal.

Yes. Stand-alone grading, driveway base prep, and site corrections are common requests. We'll walk the site and give you a straight hour-based quote.
