Most of the properties we transform started as a patchwork — the previous owner's beds, a landscaper's leftover plant palette, a hardscape that was added in a hurry, and years of individual fixes that never added up to a plan. A renovation is where you stop adding and step back to rebuild the yard as a single, intentional space.
That almost always means harder choices than a brand-new install. We'll walk the property with you and sort what's actually working — a mature oak, a specimen palm, a well-built retaining wall — from what's holding the space back. Overgrown or diseased plantings come out. Tired beds get re-shaped. Underperforming lawn gets replaced with the right variety or converted to beds where it never should have been grown.
Once the demolition and site prep clear the field, the rebuild follows the same discipline as any new install: drainage first, hardscape next, specimen trees, then softscape and lawn, finally lighting and finish. A good renovation looks finished the day the last mulch goes down and keeps improving as the plantings fill in through the first full growing season.
